LauraBeth DeHority is a therapist who specializes in working with caregivers and families. She works with individuals, couples, siblings, groups and multigenerational families to provide support in areas of family roles and communication, stress reduction, anxiety, depression, grief and addiction.
In addition to private practice, she has been an adjunct professor in the Master of Arts in Counseling program at William Jessup University where she has taught Family Therapy and Law and Ethics. She facilitates a weekly parent support group at Parents Helping Parents (PHP)and has served as a speaker and facilitator at PHP, Shire House, Help One Child and other community and faith-based caregiver support groups. She is a facilitator for SibShops.
Currently, LauraBeth is a board member of Prime Plus and a member of the Norfolk Rotary and the Downtown Circle of Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters. She is a past Board Chair of Via Services, a private, independent nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities and special needs achieve greater self-sufficiency and lead richer lives. She is also a past chair of the Mary Baldwin Advisory Board of Visitors; past president of the
Cambrian Park Kiwanis in San Jose, California; and past board member of the Junior League of San Jose.
LauraBeth is a graduate of Mary Baldwin University and holds a masters in Marital and Family Therapy from Western Seminary. She holds a Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) from California Southern University.
